Proofreading using a Japanese script requires more time and effort, which equates to a higher fee for this service. However, cross-referencing with the original Japanese script ensures a higher level of accuracy in proofreading the English translation. Rates also depend on the content of the document to be proofread.
INTERPRETING
J → E / E → J interpreting (consecutive/simultaneous) for business, academic or general purposes
Consecutive interpreting:
5000 - 7000 yen/60 mins* (AUD $70-90/60 mins)
Simultaneous interpreting:
8,000 - 10,000 yen/60 mins* (AUD $100-120/60 mins)
Rates are negotiable and also depend on the content and conditions of the interpreting work.
TUTORING
Experienced private tutor in general/business English, Japanese-English interpreting/translating, training/practice for academic and business presentations/speeches
Individual lessons:
5000 yen/60 mins (AUD $70/60mins)
Small group lessons (up to 4 people)::
2500 yen/60 mins (per person basis) (AUD $40/60mins)
COPYWRITING AND TRANSCREATION​
Hourly rate, starting from AUD$60/60 mins

PAYMENT
Payment for all services is requested to be made in Japanese yen or Australian dollars via transfer to a bank account (Australian or Japanese) or Paypal account.
An invoice for payment will be provided on confirmation of each job. Please note that some large jobs may require an up front payment equal to up to 50% of the total fee.
